Small Business Spending in a Tough Economy - Could it increase soon?

For service providers such as Telcos, IT firms, HR outsourcing, etc., the "trickle back up" effect of the recession could be a problem to their revenue streams coming from small businesses. Recently I was published as a guest blogger for xchange magazine, a site dedicated to executive level readers at telecom service providers, where I proposed that there might be a flip side to this equation. You can read the post by clicking here.

My thoughts are that since this is an election year and there appears to be so much focusing on stimulus to small businesses as a jump start the economy, more cash will be made available for "Joe the Plumber" and other small businesses. This increased investment will be spent on inventory and services with the hope that the economy will benefit from the increased activity. Please read the article and comment if you like. We will be surveying small business owners now and in 6 months to see if there is a tangible improvement in cash flow.
